Hi! My name is Rose Wulff Steiner. I specialize in
interior and exterior murals.
Within the
past twenty eight years, I have worked for clients big and small, ranging from
major corporations to private home owners.
We have created murals, faux and tromp l'oeil in Hollywood, Beverly
Hills, La Costa, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Los Gatos, Mill Valley,
Hawaii, Breckenridge CO., Miami FL., and in Paris, France.
We
are dedicated to both artistic perfect and your satisfaction. I believe that
listening to my clients and being flexible in difficult situations has lead to
our success.
The
Key West project was unique. Glenn and I were hired by a men's health club in
Paris to create a
tropical mural. Our client specified that the mural was
to be installed around the perimeter of a subterranean swimming
pool. These two French guys wanted to have Elvis Presley's
Dusty Rose Cadillac on the beach in the shot. That was both challenging
and really fun. We painted the mural using both airbrush and traditional
paint brushes, using special paints that we had mixed and tested for this mural.
One of our latest clients, Fog City Doggy Day Care of San Francisco wanted their
new facility to have lots and lots of different types of dogs. Part of the
project, the window blind, I painted in our Fairfax studio. The rest of
the project I painted on location on Lombard Street.
For our client in Florida,
we created a wonderful waterfront view of art deco Miami. In
order to insure the excellence of the project, I
personally flew to Miami to do
photo research. This was essential to translate the feel of the light along the
eastern seaboard. The Miami mural, a very large tryptich, was designed and produced in our
studio, and then, air shipped to Florida.
Anthony Robbins, the self motivational expert, hired me to produce and paint
the
backgrounds and stage props for his "Life Mastery" seminars in
Hawaii. We continued working with Anthony for a total of 5 years, painting
both at our San Diego studio and on location in Hawaii.
The Dauers in Beverly Hills hired us to transform their racket ball court into a
1920's bistro. This project was highly unusual. We made two 20' x 40' and
two 10' x 20' murals of 1920's Hollywood Boulevard
complete with period cars,
people, signs, and restaurants that we painstakingly researched. To give
their room an extra flair, they wanted the paint to glow under florescent light
and still look subtle and colorful under normal light.
Each project
assumes a life of its own. Some are big and amazingly complex, requiring
the hiring of specialists and experts. Others are small and
intimate. I like these
jobs as much as the big ones.
Many of my local
clients love that I paint on location, working
hand-in-hand with them to get just the right feeling. That's what I mean by being
flexible. It makes our work very special.
Please call for a quote on your project.
